Introduction to Components

As ads are becoming mini-applications, third party service integration is fast becoming essential for building best-of-breed ads that effectively leverage the wealth of resources available on the web to enrich user experience with their favorite brands.

However, there is often a lot of effort involved in taking a service provider’s functionality, and integrating it into an ad. Such integration is typically costly and time-consuming. Flite components aim to make this integration process quick and easy, bridging the gap between service providers and ad developers.

A Flite Hub component is a configurable mini-application that can be quickly and seamlessly integrated into a Flite ad. An ad developer can simply drop a component into a Flite ad and configure that component to their specific use case in a way that is consistent with their branding and messaging – all without writing a single line of code. A third-party service provider can use their specialized service API in conjunction with Flite’s platform to build such a component.

Flite Hub components deliver value both to advertisers and to service providers. They enrich the toolset available to advertisers, and enable brands and creative agencies to benefit from high-value services that increase user engagement, brand recall, and purchase intent. At the same time, they allow the service providers to leverage Flite as a new revenue-generation channel, and increase their exposure to some of the world’s leading brands.

Components transform the Flite platform into a hub for valuable online services that can be seamlessly inserted into Flite ads.

This documentation is targeted primarily at component developers who are looking to build components that integrate their service's functionality into Flite ads.
